Just spit balling but he kept talking about how he wanted to die quietly... My best guess is that it draws a lot less attention if he's not in school when he dies because nothing significant will have to happen following it. Perhaps the idea is that he would be an independent adult, no job no school no relatives, friends, etc that "disappeared". So he has to graduate first? Just a theory
This chapter left me with a few questions… What does he mean by “meeting him again”? Have they already met before, but in this past they still don’t remember it? And since we’re in Il Woo’s POV, does that mean he’s also narrating from the future, which would mean he’s alive—but apparently something very bad happened, not to him, but to Baekhee? Is that it? One more thing: if Il Woo was planning to kill someone and then kill himself, why would he go through the trouble of going to school and getting his diploma? That really didn’t make sense to me
