Read the comments here Cuz I was shook the rating was low but... Idk I loved this one before as a teen and I still love it. It felt like how I was enamored with 'Wuthering Heights' Cuz it was my first novel.
Plot was deep and kept me interested till the end.
I loved all the leads and I loved the ending as well.

P. 's. It's not incest Yall, Kaname is completely a different guy, body and all. The poor first born died when sacrificed.
I'd have still lapped it up even if it was incest Cuz that's how that world was set and biologically and mentally they don't have any issue with it unlike us in RL. *My preferences and tolerance depend on the world setting mind you, before anyone goes off on me*.

Fr he only ever had one child with her so like they're related but not directly... with like 10K years of distance.

I always looked at it like a real Gothic romance. Gothic romance is supposed to explore dark themes and suffering and loneliness and twistedness. Gothic romances are not love and light and kaname and yuuki will always be the epitome of a Gothic romance.

Side note... they always gloss over zero being her step brother. It was a consistent theme since the beginning #-.-)

Yes! Those who despise incest must also despise her relationship with Zero since they practically grew up together like siblings! But they conveniently forget that part!

I love Gothic romance as well but not if the leads did not have any chemistry. The chemistry here was quite good with both the male leads and even the side characters! So this is definitely one of my favourites.
