I’ve been stuck on this headcanon lately where another guy starts circling the male lead (the alpha). There are rumors going around the school—whispers about him hanging out with someone new who also happens to be an omega but one that’s not ashamed of being one. The alpha starts feeling unvalued by childhood friend and slowly pulls away, ignoring his childhood friend’s requests to meet up to do their “routine”.
I love that alpha cares enough to swallow his pride for him—but honestly, he needs some of that pride back.
Eventually the omega confronts him about the distance. The argument escalates, emotions running high. The MC reaches out to touch him, but the omega doesn’t want to be touched and instinctively pushes him away—sending him down the stairs (or maybe he gets hit by a vehicle, I don’t know lol ).
The alpha survives, but he’s hospitalized with amnesia. He remembers everything except his childhood friend. No shared history, no lingering attachment—nothing.
He tries to move on with his life, because from his perspective, there’s nothing missing. Meanwhile, the childhood friend is completely devastated. But he doesn’t confess the truth, because this—being left alone—is what he always told himself he wanted.
And now it’s real. The alpha leaves him behind, not out of cruelty, but because he genuinely doesn’t remember him or what they were.
God, the angst of it. I can’t stop picturing this in my head—it’s too good
Lolll to each their own- but as much as I like pathetic tops I just don’t like how one sided the relationship between them is right now. The omega needs a reality check to come to terms with his feelings sadly
