I saw some people asking if Leonia marries the prince, will she become an empress? No, there are two reasons why. First, Scan is not the crown prince. Second, Scan was not actually a prince; he's not a son of the emperor. His father is the empress' ex-lover, which Leo already met when they visited Marquis Hesperry of the West.
Another thing, Phileo and Varia will have their own children, but Leo would still be the heir. For both Phileo and Varia, Leo is THEIR VERY OWN 1ST BORN CHILD, and she is the only rightful heir. No one or anything would change that. (The part where Varia said that she will not let the baby inside her stomach take away what Leo has worked so hard for made my heart really melt. It shows how much she really loves Leo as her own daughter.)
