Yep- I don't know how the author doing this is.. but I think she/he trying to balance the character dynamic ╮(￣▽￣)╭ after all it be out of balance if the mc is too overpowered. And it will end up ending too quickly, and that would be boring or so?
This has to just be bad writing, sometimes she’s killing it and is smart/capable, and other times she’s dumber than a bag of rocks and it feels out of place.
