the personal recipe I do is pretty simple whenever I or my own father wants pan fried potato’s in the morning
we use ‘this’ specific brand of potato’s ( https://www.littlepotatoes.com/product/little-duos/ ) and cut up atleast 10 or 20 depending on how much we want for portions then let them soak for atleast 30 minutes in a bowl of cold water (like you would with rice, but with rice you wash it 3 or 4 times at a minimum to get the starch out after soaking it for a period of time)
once they’ve been sitting for 30 minutes or your chosen time (you ‘can’ let them soak for an hour or overnight even, it just depends on your preference entirely) drain the water but keep em in the bowl and season them, we use black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, lemon pepper herb seasoning, and nutritional yeast
then get your pan of choice and you can use either plain butter or garlic butter if you have it, we use garlic butter and nutritional yeast (which I haven’t explained is extremely healthy and good for you (it’s usually sold as granules or flakes) and is sold specifically in either the healthy or organic food aisle, and if you buy fortified brands like bob’s red mill, that’s even better health wise
we use ‘both’ garlic butter and nutritional yeast and let it melt together in the pan then dump the potatoes in at a low to medium heat since if you cook them too high it’s incredibly easy to burn the fuck out of them
then set a timer for 10 minutes and cover with a lid and occasionally stir, and once they’re brown enough and you can stick a tooth pick clean through them like you would banana bread in the oven, they’re done!
once you put them in a plastic container after you can season them again if they’re not flavourful enough already
two more recipes as well:
if you like iced green tea it’s incredibly easy to make and lasts 3 to 5 days per pitcher
put 7 green tea bags at the bottom of your pitcher (7 because putting too little means less flavour, some people put 10 if they’re wilding) then fill up the pitcher half way with warm water then if you’re putting sweetener such as a syrup of your choice or honey or maple syrup if you like your drink sweet then you would put it into the hot water
then stir, ‘then’ fill the rest of the pitcher with cold water and let it cool down until the pitcher has gone down enough in temperature to put it in the fridge
before doing so though, take out the tea bags from the pitcher, don’t be afraid to squeeze each bag over the pitcher so some of the liquid from it stays in the pitcher
now you can either chill it for a few hours or overnight, doesn’t really matter and serve it whenever over ice
this last recipe I make all the time if I’m feeling something sweet and chocolate due to my food intolerances
cut 3 large slices of silken tofu and put them in a blender, now take 2 small avocado’s (you can always use just 1 small one if you prefer, but never use 2 big ones as it’ll be overwhelmingly avocado tasting)
and scoop your avocado into the blender, pour in your milk of choice after (I use unsweet soy milk) then add cocoa powder (I use hershey’s cocoa powder) then a generous amount of maple syrup, a small stack of salt, a scoop of peanut butter, and a small smack of cinnamon as well
blend it all until its fully smooth, which will take a minute or 2
afterward scoop it all into a plastic container, and here comes the toppings! I use raw instant oats, a handful or 2 but you can always use other oats if you have em alongside blueberries and granola,
stir it all in until its evenly coated and hidden, and afterward if you want to either smear in coconut or regular whip cream feel free to do so, I always use coconut and just stir in one or two scoops depending on the mood
now if you’re in a time crunch just let this pudding we just made chill in the fridge for 2 hours since it’ll thicken and get a nice pudding texture, if you have time? let it chill overnight in the fridge and have some after dinner
I also have a personal recipe for a spicy veggie and tofu alfredo if you want?
cut up some white and red onions alongside carrots, broccoli, red and yellow bell peppers, ‘and’ if you like shrimp feel free to include them too
get your pan of choice and melt some garlic or regular butter, if you have nutrient yeast add that in, alongside cayenne pepper, black pepper, cajun hot sauce, and carolina reaper sauce (believe me, even as a tofu pasta sauce this makes noses quickly run lmao)
stir it all around the pan and once it’s all melted, then dump in the veggies and optional shrimp and cover with a lid with an occasional stir until the broccoli is bright green and both the red and white onions are translucent or browned
you can either eat these veggies and optional shrimp on their own, use em in a stir fry via white or brown rice or with pasta or anything else
forgot to add don’t forget the sriracha with the other sauces
also, my father really likes this specific dipping sauce recipe when it comes to fries or chicken fingers, or even as a condiment on a burger
put mayo in a bowl, then ketchup and sriracha, stir it all up together and it’ll be a pretty orange, if you want it extra hot feel free to add more sriracha lmao
one more thing if you like pancakes but hate buying the boxed shit since it’s pretty fucking expensive, this is the exact linked recipe that I make whenever I want some since fuck buying the boxed shit atp, but I modify it barely via adding cinnamon into the dry ingredients, and at times blueberries or other fruit into the batter depending on the mood
