I thinks its the fls past life and the mls current. So he have been alive for hundreds of years and she is a reincarnation of his past lover. Same with the blonde guy he also reincarnated. Everyone around the ml might remember his past that's why they are trying to suppress it since he might have gotten hurt or his personality changed after the fls death and that's why they might have suppressed his memory. And it is also implied that yeon the fls older incarnation asked the MLS uncle for help or to protect him that's why he is also conflicted as to what he should do
