Idk how to feel about this. I liked it enough to keep going, but this is definitely not something I'll revisit once I finish it. I disliked the ml a lot, he’s not as horrible as some other red/black flag mls in stories I've read, but he is just not likeable. His whole personality is "I'm rich, out of touch and unbearably cocky", which isn't uncommon for these Cinderella tropps, but at least some of them had layers and you get to know/understand them better as the story progresses. But with him, that is literally all there is to him, not character development whatsoever. And ngl mc really irritated me with how easily he got over his heartbreak and just forgave him (I'm a sucker for a ml that regrets his past actions a d grovels for forgiveness). The ml literally didn't have to work for the forgiveness and we don't even get to see him reflect that deeply on his shitty personality. Also it doesn't make sense to me how he didn't recognize mc AT ALL and all of sudden he's saying that he was the one who shaped the type of ppl he was attracted to, like huh? And then there's the mc's friend who was also in love with ml? I feel like there's just too much going on but the story is too surface level and never goes deep enough to the where it satisfies your curiosities as a reader. Overall I don't hate the story, it's nice but that's all there is to it.
