Yeah exactly but i guess that's what desperation gets you. She has ambitions but not clever or strategic enough to plan it out for a long term outcome
I would have liked the red-haired to be more proactive about her independence, rather than basing her success solely on men. She has juicy information. For instance, she could have shared it with the emperor, or failing that, gone through Laslo, or even sounded things out over tea with Lynnia, to secure a title as a baroness or viscountess along with a position that would provide her with an income. I know she wants to reach the very top of the hierarchy, but she could just as well dominate the social world.
