Am I the only one who's disliking this trope ? Like the mc is introduced as a genius who is extremely smart and talented in his field or whatever. We're told over and over again that he's intelligent, powerful athletic etc... yet they never win against the ml. They're just not allowed to. It's honestly just frustrating and not fun to read.
