… Her brother is a child whose mind was warped by the abuse around him. In his early years, seeing the way the aunt treated his sister, he parroted what the aunt said to her, only for the sister to retaliate in the same way their trash aunt used to. It showed to him that the aunt might have been right about his sister since she repeated the abuse he’d seen done to her. Then when that same sister essentially abandoned him (from his perspective as a child) to a house where he was preyed upon probably every night, she became his villain. He needed to put that somewhere and victims of sexual abuse don’t tend to blame their r*pist. They blame themselves for being easy targets, and since he was a child expecting his sister would look after him, he also blamed her because he had no other target. So wanting her to die and wanting to kill himself makes a lot of sense psychologically.

Love and hate are basically two sides of the same coin. You feel strongly towards people you care deeply about. Hes a kid and probably started blaming her for not caring enough. In his mind atleast. which warped his feeling towards her. Hes a victim, his brain chemicals are forever busted. People respond differently when traumatized. Some ppl blame inwards others blame everything around them.
