MC pisses me off

Why is the mc so stupidly kind for? She’s like pushover level kind for the level of betrayal and audacity the “villains” of this story have portrayed. I hope they don’t drag out this story with misunderstandings and this type of personality.

I kinda agree. Like I get that it's just a few chapters in, but MC should start to stand up at one point or another. I was ready for a "pushover to badass" kind of stuff especially because it's her BFF of 10 years. Like I know similar stories (some had reincarnation involved, like "Marry my husband") where the MC didn't necessarily change her whole personality but did start calculating far more. A story that I would say follows kinda a close enough writing style would be "Daytime Star" and even then the MC wasn't a total pushover that didn't care and just took it.

I was a bit heated when I wrote my comment, but the differences between other stories definitely create a stark (and irritating) contrast with the protagonist of this story.

The early plot we’ve seen so far is starting to resemble “Flowers on a Withered Branch”. For example, with the betrayal aspect, the cheating ex-partner regretting, and a “hotter” mysterious man coming in to sweep the protagonist off her feet. The parallel kind of irks me since I had to drop that manhwa because the character development was becoming drawn out and lackluster; which is why I hope this webtoon does not perform that same mistake. I would prefer my female main characters to have some type of character development after a life-altering scenario occurs. If my best friend and partner both betrayed me, I would not be taking it as passively as she would be. Especially allowing the disrespect of her ex-bsf spilling coffee on her like that and spreading rumors. When authors make irksome “villains” like this, I have a suspicion they might be trying to milk these characters to create a longer chapter-count, whereof, making the story fall flat for profit. I just hope that isn’t the case in this new story.
