Def one of the best bls I've read. Spoiler but here are my thoughts. Mamiya def doesn't deserve a happy ending since he's a shitty (well-written) person. The open-ending was honestly great, you're either left to think if he committed suicide or continued on with his life (which was Sada's wish for him). If the latter, then I guess it'll be somewhat a happy ending for him, if not then I feel bad for Sada but it is a suiting end for the story. As for Sada, he didn't deserve any of that, but it is kinda realistic that some people are just really unlucky you know. Their dynamic and conversations were also just honestly fun to read.
Mamiya just reminds me of Walter White from Breaking Bad. They are both shitty people, they have grand dreams, they dragged the ones they love to hell, and then they lose everything. This is me ignoring the hell extras, but including it, I'm glad they're together ┗( T﹏T )┛.
Anyways, tsundere Mamiya is so cute, also Sada never said I love you. Maybe he's just lonely or stockholm, but there is definitely affection there. Just let me imagine he said that on his letter instead (he still didnt deserve what happened to him but whatever) ┗( T﹏T )┛. Also to add to Sada's nuances, in the extras where Sada was thinking that people create families as they'll become a priority, prioritized more than friends (and he cant bc he's gay and cant bear children), someone finally prioritized him.
I'm just amazed with how well-written this is bc you can dissect and discuss the story. Didn't expect that from a BL, like at all lol.
