It's better if you read it, but basically the author has already made almost exactly this type of story before. mean/uncaring top, bottom who actually cares/gets hurt by the top, bottom gets some self respect and leaves, top realizes he's been a dickhead and tries to earn forgiveness because he also realizes he loves the bottom. they go through a cold period where the bottom refuses his attempts or insists on leaving while the top grows jealous of the people around the bottom and misses him, then the top does something or the bottom learns something about the top's past that makes him more willing to forgive him and they reconcile and have a romantic happy ever after where the top is now a better person.

This is the storyline that was followed in BJ Alex and Jinx hits all of these points as well. I just think that "Alex" in BJ Alex was a little more redeemable, he was cold and an asshole but he wasn't prone to anger like Jaekyung, and the relationship between the main couple wasn't formed because of a debt being paid in return for sex. It was still a transaction but it was much different. I'd recommend reading it because the author used basically the same framework for BJ Alex that she's using for Jinx and the only difference is the characters and some slight things like Jaekyung's realization of his feelings + his attempts at forgiveness and Dan's changes after realizing he needs to leave the situation with Jaekyung
