i think it has something to do.with junmin's abilities (or that villain's ability, regardless, some kind of mental type power), i'm guessing that at some point in the story where they'll be fighting those anti-center pips, junmin will be put under some mental spell that'll kinda regress him inside (making him a child once again) and then the only way to actually get him back is for someone (someone being yongul or the guide) then that'll be the time where he'll meet young junmin

That seems a bit far fetched. It’s more likely to be a time warp situation. They literally brought up how one dude suddenly got teleported really far away after falling into that void like area in the cave they were in. There is also the scene of ML coming back and MC being mad about the comms getting disconnected, which gets explained with the coordinates not changing but a dimension warp occurring. So it’s more likely that at some point, MC accidentally travels back in time and ends up helping the ML when he was little. Current ML being out under a spell to believe he is younger than he currently is doesn’t make sense. Especially since it’s been 9 years since he’s been looking for that Hyung.

There’s also the fact that they were never able to find him, that there were no records of him. This means he just up and vanished so a sudden time travel situation would explain that. There would be no records of him cause he used a fake name and was from the future.
