No it's bc he's a mega alpha or whatever he's called (can't remember but it was stated in ch 1). Some alphas can have such strong pheromones that it affects all genders. I really hope he's not going to turn into an omega tho. Beta erasure is too strong already in BLs. Im reading another bl called Kill my love where a beta turned into an omega and I found it a bit distasteful.
Ok so yeah he's a dominant alpha. So his pheromones can be detected by even betas. Mc isn't turning into an omega.
There’s so much foreshadowing about beta turning into omega so I believe it will eventually happen
