I really hope the author does something about seo-an's control freak tendencies he lowkey resembles his dad on that part. I understand his concerns but it's really uncomfortable how he talks to woo-won when he's angry...

I'm saying this cause I'm skimming through the raws and I think it's brushed aside again. unfortunately. (I hope I'm wrong though)

I think you're also undermining woowon's struggle by saying this. he quite literally understands his own shortcomings that's why he thinks it's better to stay away and take time for himself first - he actually knows what's wrong with him but there's no signs of seoan acknowledging his own. seoan knows he's been chasing his dad's acknowledgement mindlessly, but he doesn't realize his own control freak tendencies that he got from his father.

the dilemma here is that woowon wants to try and do something for himself, to feel that he can stand up for himself and fix his own issues so he can be an equal to seoan but it does take him a while and THEN start anew adter and share everything with seoan. seoan on the other hand feels like woowon can't solve his own problems without starting anew first, that's why he tries to axe his burdens immediately. both are understandstandable, but the problem here is seoan is impatient. he doesn't believe woowon can do things for himself or grow to become someone who can do things for himself. it's constantly shown in the story how seoan says he doesn't have the patience to wait, that woowon is frustrating, that he's better off just sitting there, shutting up, and letting him handle it so they can all get it over with.

woowon needs someone who has patience, someone who doesn't stunt his own want to not feel helpless. but again, most importantly he knows he is lacking. seoan on the other hand doesn't recognize his own flaws in the relationship.

tldr; you missed the whole point of why woowon went away in the first place. he acknowledges his own shortcomings. seoan doesn't. you can constantly hear him say woowon doesn't even need to do this or that and ask why he feels like he needs to. good thing woowon is very understanding.

I think you in that aspect also undermine seo-an's trauma and fear. The only thing bes trying is to protect woo-won cause he understands how it feels to be alone.

i think you're forgetting that seo an was the one with severe issues in the first place who kept breaking down in public and couldn't work, naturally when his support system that helped him get to a functional state is now compromised he's going to try and help by any means not just for woowon but also himself. when woowon left and seo an didn't actually stop him and agreed to wait that was a big sacrifice for him because though he doesn't display it seo an is very emotionally dependent on woowon for his own security. i just feel like you're viewing seo an a little one sidedly give him some grace he's not a control freak just cause he's rich and powerful like his dad.

I am not. I literally am talking about this with understanding on both sides. the prime difference is seo-an questions why woo-won even still does things that he does and dismisses it as unimportant. totally different from how woo-won is very understanding of seo-an's perspective and problems...

I think you and the previous reply is misunderstanding my point. no one is saying he has no issues himself, in fact, the story heavily focuses on it in the first half but has little bearing and follow up now. what I'm getting at here is their approach to the relationship. you can literally see firsthand how seo-an dismisses woo-won's decision by saying "why does he even need to do all this, he just needs to shut up and do what i say" versus woo-won's constant struggle and display to be understanding of seo-an's actions. woo-won KNOWS where he's lacking, seo-an refuses to acknowledge such a thing. I understand why seo-an came to be the person he is and why he feels frustrated, he has his own struggles but his compromise is so much less in this relationship. he needs woo-won to get his shit together and so he tries and axe his baggage away by simply throwing in money and threat with his power in the society, which in itself is making woo-won feel helpless and further show their gap in standing. worse, he doesn't try and get into woo-won's shoes at all and is very reductive of his feelings. the recent chapters literally have him ranting about that angrily when he misses woo-won and he needs to mellow out in that aspect. if you don't see how toxic and damaging that mindset is, then idk what to tell you.
