been postponing myself from reading this bcs of the comments saying its a painful read and good grief, it is. It’s been so long since I read something this frustrating and painful bcs how raw everything is. I was annoyed by the way both skylar and cirrus behave (I swear cirrus behaved like a fcking little bitch), but I cant blame them bcs their wounds were never given the chance to heal themselves.

honestly, I don’t think the ending was rushed although I kind of feel the romance just bubbled up suddenly in the end. As the author said, the past is a stepping stone so one should not be stuck on their past and this was the approach they took to Skylar’s trauma (also the plot was initially that Skylar forgetting about his past and moved on). Both characters found closure through each other and their friends selflessly accepting them. I think it makes sense if Skylar wanted to forget, its not like he didn’t confront the issue anyway. He did at some point of the story subtly.

I think coming from that point, the story has also moved to be more Cirrus’ centric with the climax and resolution. I wonder what happened to Cirrus’ dad and his stepmom and how the problem at home was resolved though. We didn’t get the piece of Cirrus and his dad talking (including that one scene in the car after Cirrus called Skylar), what happened after the fight broke at school to the decision of dropping out. I also wished the conversation with Chanil was longer? though the current one is justified I think to highlight Chanil’s understanding and unconditional acceptance of Cirrus.

Its really sad that this story will not going to have side stories. I’m so curious about the arc of getting better and their college life living together. that would be so fun…

btw does anyone know why their names were translated into western ones (Skylar and Cirrus) instead of their korean name (which I inferred to be Haneul and Hyunwoon)? Just curious if it’s intentional.
