Why are we bring introduced to pivotal people and concepts so late into the story? These are the things we, as the audience, need to be aware PRIOR so it doesn't feel like these concepts are being introduced last minute - and that we have time to understand and sympathize with the characters. The concept of artificial humans made by black magic is introduced almost 70 chapters in. Like, should I care?? I havent seen anything about this being a problem other than the humanity struggle "I'm not a real person", which again, didnt even realize this was even an issue 70 chapters in. So now the ML is an artificial human, with Val being the potential second. Also Val has access to some master in dark magic - ok.
Considering we started off with cheating, and a dead family, I feel we are so removed from the original premise. Like the author really wanted these other components and had to include it.
A lackluster revenge story, a lot of defending rather than attacking. Though maybe now it feels it could change? But I highly doubt it. I would suggesting waiting for the story to end before reading it. Just so you can read it and be done.
