it's orginally a novel so maybe they're taking all the resources from there and not the manga.
Quikly read a bit of the light novel and still there was a quite a bit cut out, and the tonic is stated that its light blue T-T, but the character looks are more from novel so i can forgive them

OMG YES. I'm glad ppl are talking about the anime. I was actually surprised by the coloring and quality of the overall look of the anime and I think they did a decent job BUT like you said Aresh looks chopped AF. I was like who tf is that?!? They completely did not match the look or vibe of Aresh from the manga and it is such a disappointment. It's not even that he doesn't look good. He just looks like a completely diff character and lacks all the features of Aresh--like the longer face and smug look of nonchalance. Sei, on the other hand, looks pretty spot on, design wise.
I do wish they did a better job showing Aresh's disgruntled face. Also not fond of how they cut the scenes but overall I'm satisfied with the first episode.
the ones who didn't read the novel are going to extreamly confused about what "water hour" is
Just finished ep 1, kinda dissapointed, like i watched while comparing to the physical volume i have.
1. Why do they look a bit ass, i love this manga ,but what the hell did they do to Aresh, why he looks 17 with a bit gray strands of hair. A few other charecters also look choped like norbert or even the holy maiden.
2. The emotions are so bland, aresh and kondou usually look a bit pissed or tired, wheres the emotion why are they so calm T-T
3. Soo much was chopped out or changed i just cant
4.WHY THE HELL THE NUTRITION TONIC IS A PISS YELLOW COLOUR ,WHEN IN THE MANGA IT IS VERY CLEARLY STATED THAT ITS LIGHT BLUE.
Like for me its currently a 6/10 only because i love this manga, maybe in the next episodes they will add the missing scenes
