Still too early to tell

From how I see it, the whole relationship between FL and ML is based off hate and resentment and starting off on the worst rung in the ladder on a road to destruction. That is the author's intention. FL has zero good feelings towards the ML and sees him as this manwhore stranger barely her age taking over her place in her mother's relationship. It makes sense that she's taking out her anger and bitterness on him. She's trying to force the guy to leave by pushing him to break, but he's not leaving. At this point she doesn't know his full past or that he's manipulated by her mother. But she wants to destroy him. Partly due to her own sadistic feelings and mostly due to her resentment over this threat refusing to budge no matter how much she kicks it.

The author likes doing mirroring of FL and her mother. I wonder if she will end up like her mother tormenting the ML out of her own lust and possession and become the same woman. Or if she will develop real feelings for the ML and it will devolve into jealousy over her mother and she will start to seek love from ML in their screwed up and hidden relationship and he will catch feelings too which will then be a ticking timebomb in their house. I think it'll be both, but if it's purely the former then it will be no better than pure femdom kink while the latter actually has more depth and drama. Or...it could go down the total destruction route where ML can't choose her or love her the way she wants and it'll tie back to the first chapter where the FL is screaming at some guy's silhouette if he loved her giving me daddy abandonment issues. What I find interesting is if the FL and ML will have similar fear of abandonment or threat of replacement. I hope the author develops the ML more and makes him fight for some autonomy but he is essentially powerless now.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it and hoping for too much but it's giving a lot of untold history and drama and fallout potential waiting to happen. If done well it could be great.
