If my guess is right, they had a fraternal twin that died and their father is obsessed with the girl twin (maybe she looks like their mother or smth). So they dress like her to keep him sane/mentally stable which is why they grew their hair similar to the twin (hence the wish thingy). But I don’t know whether they identify as trans or just dresses to make up for some type of guilt from the past
