Yeonwoo was bullied and abused by Seoin’s brother in school after Seoin left Korea. He got really badly injured from this bullying that he developed anxiety and ptsd from it. It was heavily implied that Seoin’s parents paid Yeonwoo’s dad hush money to keep this bullying incident under wraps and his dad accepted the money. Combined with his dad’s abuse and very likely his dad choosing money over protecting him, Yeonwoo had enough and ran away with Ahjusshi’s help.
Is it just me who kind of did understand what happened? How did yeonwoo get hurt and how does it directly relate to him running away? I thought he ran away because of his dad
