because it definitely wasnt released 10 years ago and the author definitely did not improve their artstyle
actually i take back my last comment i myself also miss the old art too its nostalgic to me.
I mean, in the end it's subjective. But as I see it, the author changed from their more unique artstyle to the currently popular and thus "generic" artstyle. Plus, I think they were better at their old art style and haven't quite mastered their new one yet.
