I feel like what I like about Ilays and Taeuis dynamic so much is that they have actual constructive conversations that make their development as a couple actually make sense. As opposed to other manhwa couples I feel Ilay and Taeui are one of the few that have actual ‘conversations’ outside of what’s happening in their relationship if that makes sense like sometimes I’ll finish a manhwa and deep that even if the couple was cute they don’t really know anything about each other outside of the fact that they love each other and obviously we assume those conversations are happening outside from what we read but in passion we have those conversations laid out to us like using an example from the earlier chapters where illay and taeui were in that cell together the author could have purely used that as an opportunity for them to simply get freaky (which they did) but instead it was really wholesome to watch them speak about their families and Taeuis experience in the army or even when they would speak over the computer in his uncles room and we’re sharing about books they’ve read and illays family occupation. Idk but I really love the mundane conversations that this couple have and I feel that the reason that works is that they both have things going on outside their relationship that they later come together and share especially in the novel where Taeui was dealing with everything at Tarten (give my boy an break) and Ilays dealing with Richard and the succession and they’d meet up to gossip about everyone
