I just finished this all in one sitting because I couldn't stop. I'm starting to understand why people are split on this being a terrible story and a very moving one. It's terrible in the way that the characters are introduced to each other and form their initial connection. I initially hated the way that the two started their relationship and I still do. They're both toxic people but in different ways, especially Cirrus. There's a lack of communication in their relationship that can really only be explained by age, but you can see the difference in their character arcs as the story progresses.
If you want a typical enemies to lovers romance, where they simply bicker instead of actually being enemies, then this is not the story for you. But if you are willing to read about how two, very broken people become better together, you should definitely give this story a try.
