I think the author want to emphasize their age gap dynamic (as the older one tends to didn't take online things seriously and the younger one easily getting attached to online things). Yeowoon looks more composed as the mature one in their relationship and it's just his character—he can't express his emotion as open as Jigu.
Actually I'm quite relate to Yeowoon, I have been in his position (the meet up things with friends online, not the romance one) and my reaction just "oh wow, so what after this" because I tend to seperate online things and rl things. I mean he's cheering their online interactions, just rl is more important sooo yeah?
The duality of Jigu persona also play important role in this story. His online personality is more cheerful and flirtatious than his rl persona which are innocent and easily get flustered. In early chapter we always meet the flirtatious "Earthstar", so in this latest chap the author want to explore his flustered "Jigu" side
I actually really love their dynamic and I don't mind at all that they show different parts of themselves online versus their real life. What makes me disappointed is the way their relationship unraveled in relation to the online one. The online relationship just wasn't that important to yeowoon in the end, and I didn't like that. Like, isn't the fun and exciting part supposed to when they finally realize who they are or when they finally meet irl? But if Yeowoon doesn't value his relationship with Earthstar that much then that revelation and meeting just becomes... bland? He didn't even WANT to meet him HAHA

Okay I just read this today but I have kinda mixed feelings so far.
This trope is actually one of my absolute favs, so when I started reading I was sooooo into it. I love when they know each other in real life but unknowingly are friends in a game. LOVE IT. But they didn't really handle the trope in a way that I like. I think my biggest issue is that the relationship they have online feels way too casual and unimportant, especially for Yeowoon. He wasn't excited to meet him in real life, basically got coaxed into it, and it wasn't exciting at ALL. What's the exciting part about finding out your unimportant friend online who you don't even want to meet is someone you like irl? It's just disappointing how it all ended up, because it was so nice to see them open up to each other and get to know each other online. But it's as if the author had a change of heart and just totally focused on the real life relationship instead and just kinda abandoned the whole relationship they had online. Maybe it's just me who feels this way but I just expected way more out of this whole manhwa.
Buuuut for the positives I actually absolutely fell in love with Yeowoon. He's such a fun and lovable character and his dynamic with Jigu is chefs kiss!!
