It’s weird if he falls in love with her BECAUSE he does not even know that she’s a grown woman in a child’s body. It would still be weird if he did know because she’s IN A CHILD’S BODY. AND he is/was a guardian figure for her and treated her like the child she appears to be so if he fell in love with her it is still weird EVEN if she does grow because HE had a GUARDIAN/PARENTAL relationship with her and it gives groomer.
But is he in love with her? There's nothing about him being in love with child her. If she grows and falls in love with her as a grown woman, what's the issue? Her body finally caught up to her mental age. Also all of you throwing the words groomer around, do you even know what groomers actually do? Not once has he done anything close to being a groomer
If you paid enough attention you would see that I said “IF”. I KEEP saying “if” over and over. I’m stating in a hypothetical sense. I didn’t say he DID groom her. And your dismissal on others statements for what grooming is comes off a bit odd when there are so many ways that grooming is done. I don’t know what you know about grooming or how much so I will not make any statements on your perspective.
"If" and hypotheticals also get a response, and I stand by my response. I am not dismissive about grooming, what I am dismissive about is how people throw the word around so freely when there is no grooming being done. Grooming is when an adult creates an emotional relation to the child with the INTENT of a s*xual relationship or exploitation of their victim. There is no intent here. The guy literally just views the child as a child they need to protect.
Would you call FMC who reincarnated as a child with the mentality of an adult as a groomer too when the ml is also a child but ends up falling in love with fmc? Or an fmc who ended up as a caretaker for the ml who ends up falling in love with the fmc when ml is all grown up - even though fmc literally just thinks of the ml as a kid, until ml confesses to fmc as a grown man. Is that considered grooming?
So like I said, people need to stop saying the word grooming so easily. It's like accusing SA when there was no SA.
I'm sorry if this comes off as dismissive but I am a mandatory reporter and sh*t like this can literally ruin a persons life if the allegations are proven false. So once again, don't say those words so easily.
I completely agree that “If” can warrant a response. That’s totally fine and natural. HOWEVER, my thing is you are commenting with a narrative completely dismissing my “If”. You pretty much ignore that part so that you can feed YOUR argument/narrative for the people who don’t agree with you. I still disagree with some things you said in relation to grooming but I won’t get into that because it will not be constructive and something tells me we would be talking in circles. Lastly, people often bring out aspects of their own life to make their argument appear more credible and I think that is very useful but it’s a little odd that you mention what you do and then proceed to talk about how peoples lives can be ruined when this is quite literally a FICTIONAL character in a FICTIONAL book, So you pretty much try to defend your defensiveness when there is quite literally the one you want to defend DOES NOT EXIST. If you feel that you could say the same about me or another commenter it’s not truly the same because we are simply acknowledging the discomfort we would feel or do feel with the slight leaning towards something dangerous/weird/predatory/uncomfortable or even something we dislike because we can. We are not saying something like “I am a social worker so I want to protect ____ their lives are important and grooming is dangerous”. It wouldn’t be wrong but doesn’t really fit the situation. We are saying “I am going to stop reading this because I feel a certain dynamic coming and I don’t like that” or “I can see how this could turn uncomfortable or how people would drop this book because of it’s possible future”.

Has everyone forgotten that she's a grown ass woman in a child's body? It'd be really weird if it were an actual child, and the dude taking care of her falls in love with her.
