These two are victims of each other and some other people

This is a reply, but wanted to put this here too for the younger folks on here to understand . The boxer assaulting Incheol, even though he was a child victim of SA is based in reality, many victims of CSA can become perpetrators themselves, for many different reasons, it is very complicated. This is how cycles start. Trauma affects people differently, so imagine a child that’s not fully developed mental wise and the impact. Nature vs Nurture. Things can become or seem “normal” for kids, even though it could be a crime in actuality they are committing against others. I’m not saying this is the case for every CSA victim nor am I excusing perpetrators or actions. It is indeed wrong, but it’s very complex psychological wise and where is the line drawn on who’s really the true “evil” or who is the root cause of each cycle or if everybody in the cycle is equally accountable. CSA is very complex in general, especially when it’s children perpetrators on other children. But in this case, it was an adult cop who was the perpetrator against Pyeong (boxer). (I haven’t read the chapter) and it’s still complex. Kids are taught that cops save us and help us, but the boxer who lost his mom was defiled by a cop who took him in. The world isn’t as simple always as far as “good” vs “evil”, both of these characters are actually in the gray area, with the author’s complex story telling. I don’t want to say either are “good” or “bad”, but they both have done questionable things and seem to have ties deeper than we first believed.
