Well, I can't argue with the fact that he is a capital "J" Jerk Seme but you have definitely encountered lots of semes of his type in the BL section.
Those Semes who at first consider it just a "game" and then catch feelings are fairly common. Not to say that I didn't get angry when he said those words "Pamp.. (╬￣皿￣)凸" but he did admit that in the end he was the one thrown aside and that he did in fact fall in love.
The predictable "Shinobu, I'm Sorry" will happen and they will end up together in the end and i think that they belong.
Kou thoroughly regrets this "game" that he played so he will definitely treasure Shinobu this time and not betray him
Most semes don't do it the way this asshole did it. And they don't purposely use your feelings against you. Most semes would have sex with you and leave you but this seme purposely use those feelings, purposely made him fall in love and purposely cruelly dump him. And MOST do not see it as a game. This seme PURPOSELY played it as a game.
There's a reason why most people don't want them together. It's because the seme is one of the worst we've seen. You can't compare him to other seme because his actions are DELIBERATE. He deliberately want the uke to suffer. Not because he cares for the uke, not because he is acting out of revenge. He manipulated someone and used them during their time of need, used THEIR FEELINGS. There is a different kind of evil with this kind of people. So please do not say "he regrets so he would treasure".'
His intentions were evil and I don't use this word easily. But his actions were so evilly intended with the end game is the fact THAT HE WANTED TO SEE THE UKE BROKEN BECAUSE OF HIM. BROKEN. Not just because he's a player and got bored but because he wanted the uke to hurt after having fallen in love with him. People who plays with others' weaknesses like that deserve a special kind of hell.

Yeah As Anonymous clearly explained. This Seme DELIBERATELY schemed to hurt the brokenhearted innocent virgin since the beginning.. Even after finding out later the Uke was his subordinate which he's supposed to give up as professional. He just used it as the chance to sexually harassed him at work and even used his affection to make him work harder than others for him. All those make him the WORST!
IRL Ton of people regret but can't change their terrible behaviors for life. I can't tell this bastard Seme can change or not. I also don't know how it ends.. Whatever, as a realistic theme story, if the author gives the right message to readers till the end, I'll really appreciate.. IMO The precious Sinobu deserves someone better than the ill-natured Kou.
Ok. I'm not gonna say that I am NOT hoping for Kou to suffer cuz what he did was a move only Assholes would do.
I Predict that when he meets Shinobu again he will be punished for what he had done and I can only imagine this story to end in two ways.
GOOD END: He tracks/coincidentally finds Shinobu (maybe after a few years but that's highly unlikely since Shinobu was just moved to another branch but then again maybe it would take a few years for Kou to gather the courage to met Shinobu again) and says he's sorry for all that he has done but Shinobu (who still has feeling for Kou but is denying them) tells him that he has found someone else and that he cant trust him anymore but ofc Kou refuses to give up and all that and they get into a fight (Kou and Shinobu's future partner) and then like ya ShFP knows about Shinobu's residual feelings and decides to break up and then you can kinda tell how this ends.

BAD END: HAHA OKAY SO THIS ONE DOESN'T END VERY WELL AND THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT SCENARIOS BUT THIS ENDING IS VERY UNLIKELY SINCE THIS IS A HAPPY STORY
