Kim Dan has not drank for a while. It is not uncommon for a person who quit drinking cold turkey to lose that tolerance they’ve built up and just because they ordered the wine doesn’t mean JK had any. It seems like he is just watching Doc Dan eat and enjoy his food while conversing with him.

Yup I went back and looked and Doc Dan is the only one seen actively drinking in the chapter. At no point is JK seen even touching his glass.
Really? Then I would like to believe so too, what you just explained above. Because I couldn't figure it out with their glass been filled equally.
The author is not so consistent with the guys' alcohol tolerance. Kim Dan is almost an alcoholic and should have a pretty high tolerance and we have seen before that JK barely gets a mouthful. I think this chapter is so unreal when it is after all Kim Dan who gets drunk.
