Prolly cz of his trauma and maybe also guilt for what happened with Aaron bcz afterall it's his dad who did it. And also, even tho his dad said Ily, he abandoned him so maybe he thought Aaron would too? Should I re-read.. TS hazy

Agreed I think he feels like as his father's son he holds some responsibility for what he did and is maybe also afraid of his father using him to get to Aaron again.
