Kim Dan is probably the happiest, and also the most relaxed around Jaekyung, than he has ever been.
I like how their weekend starts with Kim Dan and Jaekyung visiting Kim Dan’s grandma, where they have been going EVERY weekend. It’s an hour to get there, and an hour back, and they probably visit for a couple of hours so it’s a weekly half-day commitment on Jaekyung’s part, on his only day off from training every week. It’s also mentioned that Jaekyung regularly takes Kim Dan to medical appointments too.
And then on their way back, Jaekyung buys Kim Dan an expensive suit so he’ll be well-dressed for interviews after he finishes up his contract with Jaekyung and they part ways. Jaekyung accidentally lets slip that the fashionable clothes that he gave Kim Dan before weren’t free samples but ones he deliberately bought Kim Dan. Kim Dan almost catches on but is distracted by the thought of job interviews.
He takes Kim Dan to dinner at a flashy restaurant and they’re seated by the window in what is probably the best seats in the establishment, secured probably by Jaekyung’s celebrity status. Kim Dan wishes he could eat the food there every day and has a glass of wine, not to numb himself, but to enjoy it with dinner. Jaekyung teases Kim Dan and Kim Dan enjoys the company, the meal, the view, the ambience.
It’s so cute.
And then that AH sees Kim Dan… effortlessly dressed to the nines… happy, relaxed and laughing… enjoying his meal… sitting on the best seats in the house… across from a handsome celebrity.
That’s honestly a form of revenge, that Kim Dan is thriving while that AH looks shrivelled and miserable.
