ok, THAT was at least a bit satisfying (≧∀≦)

also i wish the story could focus just a little bit more on his necromancy aspect. i know the skeletons show up a lot and he uses the bombs, but more often than not, he just relies on his melee prowess anyways, which makes me question why the author didn't just make him into a rogue/ranger type class that has summons/pets. like i wish theres more of the curses, skeletal mastery, skeletal armor on himself, other undead summons, death-related spells, etc. or if they really want to keep the necromancy concept, make him into a rare/unique subclass like bone/dread knight.

that being said, it's still okay. i'm surprised, with his future knowledge, he's not hoarding like super secret loots/dungeons/titles all over nearly enough than i expected. it'd easily make him op, true, but that's a necessity for his goals anyway( ̄へ ̄)

Honestly... It's explained better in the novel... he did spend years playing as a melee character... and he was one of the very best in the game... he chose necromancer so he could be a one man army and most of the time he is... but as with every game there are instances and events that you can only clear with other players... In the novel it also shows better how much training he put the skellies through... think that real steel movie where the dude makes a robot fight shadowing his moves as a former pro-boxer... mc spent a lot of time training them so the skeletons AI could mimic the way he moved as a ranked player...
All in all both the necromancer and him interacting with other players aspects are about him recovering from the traumatic betrayal from his "guildmates and friends"...

Not completely wrong... but the novel from this is older than solo leveling... tbf there was a time around 10y ago more or less where necromancers as mc were quite popular as mc in novels... solo leveling is one of them, just the one that got insanely popular between all them...
I like SL a lot... but that's like saying all VR themed comic and novel is because of SAO just because it was the most popular one.

yea thats fair. it's just that the necromancer class isnt really utilized enough imo, and doesnt rly provide any boost towards melee playstyles (in usual rpg standards). melee necro was a meme build in diablo2 back then but it was hard and had to utilize bone armor/walls and curses, and other technical skills that i dont rly see in the webtoon (but as you said, the novel probs describe it better there). it's also partly why i thought he should've selected another class that can actually benefit from a melee playstyle while also having summons like beasts/spirits. but ig thats just the nerd in my talking, lol.
