hate hate hate ai. sure it’s “useful” but it’s slowly killing the planet. ESPECIALLY generated photos/videos. it’s not just about it using up water it’s about how it’s increasing climate change which is then leading to glaciers melting ect. which is going to cause animals to go extinct. i think we seriously need to stop using ai because sooner or later it’s going to make society collapse as well as the planet eventually.
also, ai “art” isn’t even art. people who can’t draw should just write novels rather than mangas/manhwas.

I don't like gen AI. It's ruining the planet earth and ruining the maximum capabilities of actual humans. The people who abuse it for societal praise in social media are the worst. They take actual art in different forms that were made by real people (such as illustrations, stories, songs, etc) and feed it into AI to "make" their "own" art without doing any work. As an artist, it's sickens me how ai prompters take art without permission and change it as their own. Especially those who take unfinished drawings and the prompters just "finish" it with ai.
Btw, what webtoon are you referring to? I'm curious.

I know it’s done good things like detecting cancerous cells that are hard to see with the human eye, which is 100% awesome, but my gut reaction when I think about AI is just pure rage. Fear as well. I’m a traditional artist, I get so much joy from creating and seeing people create, but AI is making people value the arts less. I’m terrified of where it will end up. Right now the people running/improving it only care about it’s success and income, they don’t give a shit about how ethical it is. It’s stealing artwork and media from people without giving credit, it’s tearing away the joy and meaning of traditional art forms, it’s taking away jobs, and it’s making the point of human life and creation feel monotonous.
College feels like a fucking joke because of how much a lot of students use AI. Apparently if you have really good grammar and use ellipses and shit in an essay it can get flagged as AI. Are you fucking kidding me? I can get punished for being good at writing? To hell with that. I just fully refuse to use AI out of fucking spite. I’ll read the Google AI summaries sometimes, but that’s it. It makes me furious. There have been sick bastards that have used AI to make explicit content just from an image of someone. Even images of CHILDREN. There are severely depressed teenagers that have turned to AI chatbots to have someone to talk to, because they have no one else, and there have been a few cases where AI has ENCOURAGED A CHILD to end their life. Not to mention it confuses the shit out of older generations that haven’t been able to technologically adapt to how advance the world’s gotten. So many people don’t know how to spot AI when they see it.
AI just makes me SO mad. The bad heavily outweighs the good and, though a technical marvel it may be, people need to step back and try to reduce the unbelievable damage it’s causing our society.

Since most people here loves art (obviously), I want to ask what do y'all feel about Ai? I think I just saw a webtoon here that was obviously done with Ai, it may have been not obvious to some because it's pretty obvious that the artist did some reshaping and remodeling, but my eyes that have been reading manhwa/manga for 10 years now noticed the irregularities that can't be cause by human error. Lol.
