you couldn't have put it in better words. A lot of people wants to see stories with "realistic" mc and then shit on them when they do. "They should communicate" DUDE IT WAS SHOWN IN THE STORY THAT HIS FATHER DIDN'T LISTEN TO HIM AND HE WAS AFRAID OF HIM. istg ppl be out here just looking at the drawings and not reading the story.
Yo I feel like yall are missing the nuance. My boy is traumatized and doesn’t know how to properly contextualize his emotions thanks to his pos dad which the author does a great job at showcasing. He confuses his jealousy for hate. Like look at the context in which he was saying he went to resent the ML. It’s when he saw him with a girl when he imagined doing all the things the ML did to him to someone else. The context is more important the MC is not a reliable narrator which the author does such a good job at showcasing. The MC is so clearly misinterpreting his feelings which it isn’t the first time he would have done so. It’s clear he’s misinterpreting feelings of jealousy for hatred because he’s in a battle with himself to not care and forget about the past. Please yall read with your eyes and brains.
