I read this many years ago I remembered I found it cute so decided to reread, I liked some of the stories as I remembered, but I can’t help but feel uncomfortable with how young multiple characters look and are implied to be, one is even directly said to be a sophomore… I think when you yourself are young you don’t notice or even care, but as an adult I just can’t help but be uncomfortable and grossed out.
I liked chapter 4 with the little boy and the man and the horse god, it made me tear up, I also liked the one with the black dragon- I wish we knew how it ended? The final one was cute too albeit a bit sad, it was cool to see the wondering god turn into something not human too (I’m unsure what creature it was? It looked like a dog but sometimes like a cat, it had feathers and could speak? If anyone knows pls lmk)
I think the first story and the one about the bird that brings spring had a lot of potential and could have been very cute, but they looked like children while their partners looked like grown men, it just left a bad taste in my mouth.. also, in the first story it kind of felt like they were saying it was fine the men slept with him and tried to assault him because there were no women and it couldn’t be helped..? I think those women should be taken somewhere safe instead of back to the village full of rapists.. all rapists should die, there is no excuse.
