It is ok to be into buches and masc in general. I am not into fems either. I like feminine mens in romance becouse i identyfing with them. But fem x fem is hard meh for me (in fiction!!)

I’m in the same boat. I’m a pansexual woman and I love women but I tend to like bls more than yuri.
I find that for me it’s easier to enjoy yaoi bc I don’t automatically see myself as one of the characters since im a woman and they aren’t, so I’m able to focus more on the story and I love a masc on masc wether it’s a man or woman.
I also find that I mostly only enjoy mascXfeme or mascXmasc yuri bc that’s what im into, I like masc women and feminine men, and there aren’t that many mascs in yuri especially when it written by a man. Plus when it’s written by a man it doesn’t feel real it feels like lesbian porn to get a man hard which automatically makes me uncomfortable and you can almost always tell when it’s written for a straight man seen it’s written for queers (like myself).

People are disliking because "built like a man" is a stupid descriptor for butch women. Men don't own masculinity. Women don't own femininity. Okay..? Pardon my ignorance on some usage of words. I'm not trying to rub it in anyone's... eh? I just happened to find out about it about myself so I commented. And I did say I dont dislike Yuri.
Also this is my first time commenting on a yuri manga comment section. And I've only read 3 yuri manga, do "stop commenting about how much you read yaoi everytime you read yuri" comment is confusing.

I've been reading yaoi for 15+ years and shy 2.5 years ago I've started reading and liking straight manga. Also use to have a hard time reading manhwa/webtoon, but now I read/like them as well.
I just said what I said because I find it fascinating how my reading material interests keeps changing and evolving(?) and how I'm slowly starting to like Yuri as well.

Dam dude. I have never once before this commented about how much I read yaoi, didn’t even know that was a common thing.
I was just sharing my thoughts on something I agreed with and why I agreed on it. I love masc women and feminine men (also androgynous people) bc they are proving that masculinity femininity and mix of both is not specific to gender and or sex and I admire that a fuckton.
Also you did not get me in that message at all. First I read a lot of Yuri too. Second I LOVE women I’ve been attracted to many femmes too I just happen to be more attracted to mascs. Third the reasons I don’t enjoy all Yuri is bc of the way a lot of them are targeted for men the same way most lesbian porn is targeted for men, which makes it feel fake to me, and bc I find myself trying to see which character I fit into and end up losing who the character is bc I see it as me not as who the author created. That’s a me thing, not Yuris fault as a genre.

Know what you are right. I somehow did not think of it that way. (The part about yaoi being written by women) it was hypocritical of me and I will be thinking about that more. This right here is the reason I like to get into discussions on here or in general, idk how long it would’ve taken for me to realize that or if I ever would’ve realized that.
I don’t understand the erasure of women in media part bc I don’t think I was insinuating that I don’t want there to be more stories of women in media or at least that is not what I meant.
