Ch. 1–32 YW starts out as Hae-yool’s manager. He’s told to follow him after suspecting he’s seeing someone who isn’t his sponsor. While tailing him to a hotel, YW unexpectedly runs into Seo-in. CCTV catches YW, Seo-in figures out who he is, and later contacts him. They meet at a café where Seo-in asks YW to be his manager. YW says no since he already works for Hae-yool, but Seo-in tells him to think about it.
A few days later, an article exposing Hae-yool’s scandals drops and YW gets fired. While doing odd jobs, YW ends up at an apartment building where Seo-in is involved in drug-fueled orgies. Seo-in, clearly high, runs into YW and YW takes him home. Things cross a line and Seo-in passes out.
Seo-in later shows up at YW’s apartment, annoyed, and another messy situation happens (ch.11). After that, YW agrees to work for Seo-in. Hae-yool sees them together and after YW sends Seo-in home, goes to meet Hae-yool. Hae-yool starts questioning why he was the only one hurt by the scandal. Seo-in texts YW urgently, hinting at their shared past, and more chaos follows (ch.16), ending with Seo-in getting rejected.
After the rejection, Seo-in remembers more of their past. He apologizes when they are getting ready for the party, and manipulates YW into restarting a FWB-type arrangement. At the industry party, YW saves Hae-yool from his sponsor. Hae-yool confesses to YW and gets rejected. Seo-in overhears, gets jealous, and fights with YW, who also pushes Seo-in away.
Seo-in later tricks YW into attending an orgy to make him jealous. It works. YW agrees to be Seo-in’s official FWB, and they finally sleep together (ch.24). More drama follows: Taegu reappears, Seo-in gets jealous again, and they end up back at YW’s place, where they have sex (ch.29–31). YW has a panic attack, Seo-in takes him to the hospital, and they run into Seo-in’s mother, who pretends not to know him. The season ends with her seeing them together.
Ch. 33–40 (Flashback Arc) The story flashes back to how YW and Seo-in first met. Seo-in was adopted by a woman who lost one of her twins and projected that grief onto him, which caused resentment in her family, especially from Jaewon, who constantly abused Seo-in. Jaewon eventually found damaging info about Seo-in’s parents and forced him into obedience.
Seo-in first notices YW after catching Jaewon with another boy and deciding to befriend YW just to annoy him. He learns YW does judo, gets him assigned as his tutor, and they slowly bond. When Jaewon’s friends expose Seo-in’s past at school, YW defends him, and this is when Seo-in starts falling for him (ch.35).
Seo-in later finds out that YW is abused by his father and tries to protect him. When YW discovers Seo-in’s secret, he accepts him instead of judging him, deepening Seo-in’s feelings. Seo-in sort of manipulates YW into starting to experiment with him. Jaewon finds out and records them and forces Seo-in into a kiss (ch.39). After that, Jaewon assaults YW while Seo-in is away for modeling, and YW runs away, ending their middle school arc.
Ch. 40–50 YW and Seo-in reconnect and start falling for each other again, with lots of intense scenes (ch.47–48). Hae-yool tries to blackmail YW using the middle school article, but YW refuses to work with or be with him.
Ch. 51–53 Taegu’s backstory: he was a collector tied to YW’s father’s debt and eventually saved YW when he tried to run away.
Ch. 54–Present YW learns his father is dying. Seo-in tries to support him, but YW pushes him away. Taegu takes YW to see his father; Seo-in finds them outside the hospital; they arrive too late.
