since i follow thai gls and media, this doesn't rly seem that weird. but then again only meari and her shityy friend seems to do that. sayoko hasn't gotten that much monologue to share but i doubt she'd refer to herself like that. maybe it's just a generation gap
From what I've learnt, that's a common way for younger persons to refer to themselves in certain provinces in Japan, seeing that there's various different pronouns and ways to refer to yourself in the language itself. It's a little different from region to region
