You know what, at this point since author wants to go downhill and denies character development to Dae (this shit gave us what, smoking? pure comedy) I'm making up my own version in my head. This series has been torturing my mental health, i need to do something.
So in my head to continue on ch 71. While they're doing the deed Dae brokes down... "if you're a freaking know it all how come you did not know what happened to me back then? We're supposed to meet up but i have been assaulted, only to come back in an empty apartment. Have you read the letter i left in our apartment? You knew i was all alone yet you left me be on my own. I did not quit on life since i knew this will trigger your trauma. But you know what, if the person i decided to dedicate my life does not see my worth yet believes I'm all fake who is only after his money it's better to jus die, I don't want to protect the person who only see me as a liar, dying also let's me escape from the threats of red head." And baaaaaam! This slaap some needed sense to ML. He finally snoop around and realizes he was also the tormentor of Dae, him being the one big asshole ofc not bigger than red head for what he did to Dae but still an ass.
AND HE FINALLY LEAVEUPTOTHENAMEOFTHESERIES. I know some would say, Dae should man up and leave Ml go ahead in life or be single and happy. Gurl believe me I'm rly lining up for that route as well. But seeing as how the author downplays our Dae (asside from being a pushover he added smoking, freaking smoking, would you believe that?!) I don't want it to turn 180° honestly i would prefer the elder brothers series, yes it made my eye brow twitch a some instance but since it was a short one ans it spares me the agony of knowing some unacceptable turn of events.
I'm so sorry I'm just sooo on the edge with this story, specially on how it spirals. Hope Korea offers therapy to its citizen so these authors delivers a more healthy series in the future. Bruh i read a wide range of genres and SCAT is the only one i will close my eyes with. Japan has it's fair share of series, but Koreans just have these massive stories in the recent years with this similar plot.
Hey Bj Al*x and P*TN, I'm not letting you off the hook even if you guys have some happy ending. The thing is since these series are really famous it kinda acted as blueprint to the other Authors where in rape/assault have been a norm before the two main Characters end up with each other. What happened to the good ol' banter, rivalry, chance encounter we're getting assault and rape from here and there. Just a concerned individual since this is what we are being fed. You know, we are what we eat. I don't want irl people getting ideas from what they are reading.
