I was literally thinking this. It's so refreshing for them to pull them close when they know they're trying to run away, not because they don't care but because they scared. Like thank you for reading between the lines and knowing he needs you more than ever
i absolutely adored this chapter and let me tell you why. so usually with your typical misunderstanding troupe once a character finds out they’ve been lied to they start to distance themselves and lack trust in the other person (valid) and after that in comes the chasing arc which is usually called for but for me it’s a hard read. in off track the ml figures out he’s been lied to and his trust wavers which is normal but what i love is that despite the mcs dishonesty the ml is able sympathize with him and try to understand why he did what he did. he recognizes that the mc is a very good and pure person and had no malicious intent but simply did what he thought he had to. i love emotionally intelligent characters bcs instead of pushing the mc away when he knows he’s head over heels for him he draws him even closer in order to understand him better and to keep their relationship. he knows how absolutely pure the mcs intentions are and can understand that even though he’s keeping secrets and lying it’s what he thinks he has to do in order to protect their relationship. i love them sorry for the yap
