The problem for me is all the implications this comes with How come she never looked for Shinpei over those, what, 40-50 years? She could've asked for Kotaro and Mitsuharu's help. Mitsuharu in particular is filthy rich and has so many connections. I refuse to believe that after all these chapters Satoko would just sit there and wait, doing nothing.
And then Shinpei. The author really wants us to believe that he's NEVER even visited her supposed grave once? His love for her is so obsessive and all consuming. No way he wouldn't visit her grave in 50 years. It just feels so forced and it makes me question the characters, which leaves such a bad taste in my mouth :/
If they reunited after 1, 5 or even 10 years, yeah I would've been fine with this type of ending. But they've basically wasted a lifetime over something that could've been solved so easily
Honestly, Satoko being alive and them meeting again is enough for me. I dont understand what's so bad about it.
