There's an Inuit tale about how the Sun and Moon came to be. There once were two siblings who were separated when they got older because men and women slept in different quarters. On a dark night (don't ask how there was day and night without a sun and moon), the brother went to the female quarters and slept with his sister by accident. The next night he did it again, but this time the sister rubbed soot in his face. Upon finding out her own brother slept with her, she cut her breasts off (that's why the sun don't have breasts) and then ran out into the snowy night with a torch. Her brother chased after her with his weaker torch, and then they ascended into the sky. The sister became the sun and the brother became the moon who chased after her always. That's Fire Punch in a nutshell, but the Sun and Moon roles are switched. Agni always chased after Luna, sometimes catching up, but only briefly (like eclipses). Most of the time he lagged behind. It was always futile. His role and how he was viewed changed all the time, but at his core he was always just a brother chasing after the sister he wanted to pipe- I mean chasing after his sister's ghost in his grief ╥﹏╥
