That's what I felt lacking in the webtoon even though I've never read the novel ╥﹏╥ the webtoon just states, gives a few scenes but usually just glosses over his relationship with his vassal and it felt so lacking when you just see the vassal's love and dedication to mc ┗( T﹏T )┛

I highly recommend anyone who loves HTSAAP to read the novel as well! It's way more in-depth in the character building and world building. I believe there's even a few characters that never got adapted into the webtoon either :<. I know webtoons has to find ways to cut certain scenes due to time constraints, so some details never made it as a result. There's no smut in the main stories, however, there will be in the sides! I'll say though that the novel starts of slow (i.e. the plot of ch 1~3 in the webtoon is equivalate up to ch 20-30 in the novel). Trust me that the novel explores more on the Sehyun's relationship with each characters and even his own heroes.
