Is it weird to say I enjoyed this but didn’t at the same time (mainly the ending)? Obviously the ending is the best we could’ve asked for in terms of our FL and ML - thank god honestly, they both deserve happiness after all that shite.
At the same time, I wish we could see how Helena is now - she is “indifferent”. Why? She wasn’t always like this. What made her want to become the empress? I just feel like there’s certain elements missing / unexplained.
Same for the world within the book… supposedly it would start to crumble and the witches planned to “make a god” and we learn Kinta(?) was chosen by the red hair witch… then what?? Wish we got to learn more about the witch sisters themselves too. Idk there’s just so much more to the story that felt missing and I wanted to know about so it felt a tiiiiny bit unsatisfactory to me but I enjoyed reading regardless!
