Tracking updates

Hello!
May someone tell me how to easily see when a series gets update? Is it only the bookmark feature that may enable? But that doesnt seem to work that way either?

If you select “Now Reading” or “Already Read” on a work, you will see an option listed as “subscribe this manga.”
Turn that on, and you will receive updates for that work.
