Not all good endings need happy endings

I don't want to impose my opinion, so I'll just state a fact here for many people to reflect on, because I read some comments asking to make them happy or to get them together so we'll have "a happy ending."
Happiness isn't about them being together or separated, or one of them dying, or the other being imprisoned, or, I don't know, taking the throne and changing everything, and that being "the happy ending." Being happy is ambiguous, happiness is ambiguous, what is happy for me isn't happiness for you, and their happiness at the moment doesn't exist, it's practically nonexistent, because what one wants hurts the other. So I honestly don't know what their happy ending will be, but I hope it's a cohesive ending, which is what I think is fair for this story and even for all of us as readers.
Forgive the typo. English is not my first linguagem.

A happy ending for them would be death or separation.

There is too much hurt between them for them to realistically work in an actual loving relationship even if there was at some point feelings of love between them.

I couldn't agree more. They hurt each other so much that realistically speaking drifting apart would be the only way.
