I said i feel bad for him, and my main point was the bahaviour of the mom and that i understand Rosa for being weirded out by this young guy suddenly being a "father figure" for her. She is crazy, thats is part of her character and I wouldn't deny that.
No, I mean you skipped that fact that she's weirded out by him being her step dad bcs they knew each other before + the main reason is that she can't have him that's it, she isn't sentimental about it and you can see how much she is in denial, she'd tell him that excuse but you can clearly see that she's over it and just wanna toy with him, no wonder the novel is called toying with daddy
You have a point. Honestly, I was a little confused that we didn't get earlier hints of her not liking the relationshit of him and her mom because she remembers their childhood together. I think it was teased before but not from her side. But even if she didn't know the guy before I think she would still kinda hate him. She is a sharp mouthed crazy person after all
If my mom would go after a guy just two years older than me i would call a mental hospital. It's just weird af and I would not feel comfortable around her anymore, not to mention living together with them AND calling the guy DAD?? Absolutely not.
I do feel bad for him (what was his name again?) because he does seem like a good person and he seems to have had a hard life so far. But the mom...idk I don't like her
