It happens quite often and I think because these are usually made in east Asia so they try to appeal to the consumers rather than putting brown people in. It Is quite sad cause it's like i see my culture but I don't see my people sorta thing .On the other had I think POC are slowly getting more representation in media and anime which I think I'd a good stepping stone fron how bad it was .

I do agree like what’s so wrong with respecting peoples culture and they don’t understand how annoying it can be because imagine if a white or a black person took Korean culture and tuned everyone in it black or white in a story we would never hear the end of it
That’s true the anime’s and mangas that have come out recently have been much better I think they are becoming aware
